Les Mayers is an established, contemporary artist and designer from Southern California. His impressionistic art has been sold in fine art galleries and exhibited from coast to coast throughout the United States, including New York's iconic Times Square. He believes all items of beauty, that are created as an artifact, should be defined as fine art.
Although Les' current art pioneers the latest advances in digital technology and explores emerging new media such as milled metal, Plexiglas, ceramic, and other innovative substrate materials, he originally created and presented his art as traditional oil paintings on stretched canvas and specialized art papers. His artistic journey has also included other forms of artistic expression, including sculpture and traditional photography.
Most of Les’ current collections originate as hand-drawn concept sketches or digitally enhanced imagery that progressively evolve through various techniques Les personally developed and continues to hone. His subject matter includes traditional landscapes, seascapes, and portraitures, and extends to include contemporary impressionistic studies of flowers and trees, urban landscapes, cities, architecture, and abstract studies.
By adapting continually evolving advances in technology, Les has been able to develop updated versions of traditional wall art, various types of consumer products for the fashion, gift, and home deco markets, and commercial products for the interior and exterior building and architectural materials markets.
